EDTA

EDTA is short for ethylenediamenetetraacetic acid, and is the name for a few variations of this widespread amino acid. Arizona Natural Products only uses calcium disodium EDTA, which is the most commonly tested and most proven agent for chelation therapy.

Calcium disodium is a synthetic amino acid that binds and removes metals and minerals from the body.

Oral EDTA Recommendations:
Take EDTA at least 2 hours apart from any meals or supplements. This is because it binds to metals and minerals indiscriminately, meaning if there are other minerals in the system it will bind to those before reaching the desired area. 2-3 capsules a day for 10 days = 1 intravenous session (approx).

Replenish depleted minerals by adding a multivitamin and mineral supplement. EDTA will draw away some minerals from your body over time, so it is a good idea to increase mineral intake.

We also recommend taking EDTA in cycles of 6 weeks on then 2 weeks off. This is for the same reason we suggest a one-a-day multi: the break will allow your body to restore its mineral content to more natural levels.
